I'm going to the inauguration ceremony!!! Yes! I am so excited! I received an email today from Congressman Albert R. Wynn's office saying that two tickets were being sent to me. Back in November I wrote my senators and congressman as well as the inauguration committe about getting tickets to one of the events surrounding the inauguration... and one actually came through! Woot!
If you're interested in going to the parade, it is still possible. Be sure to check http://www.inaugural05.com/ on January 15th.

Don't you applaud hit and run tactics? That is very Rovian. I have noticed a lot of sore winner/whiners as well.
Congrats on getting a ticket to the biggest waste of money this side of...well, I don't know what. 40 million bux for what? Could use it to bolster social security, but no. He would rather privatize that in another big win for rich white guys everywhere.
It is truly distasteful that in these times (unlike FDR who had the grace and statesmanship to tone down the inauguration to a dignified small ceremony with a few dignitaries and cake at the white house, thereby not cancelling it, but having a ceremony appropriate to the time) we have a president who continuously says "F___ You" to the American people, our soldiers in Iraq, the victims of the Tsunami, the Sudan, etc...and continues his tacky behavior that is quite frankly no classier than Paris Hilton. "Sheeeit, I'm a gonna throw myself a BIG ASS 35 million dollar partay! Screw the deficit!!!!!"
